Check out these two articles published in ver.di's monthly newspaper ver.di Publik. With more than 2 million subscribers, ver.di PUBLIK is one of the most read papers in Germany. The first article with the title "Respect is Lacking" describes the recent trip of the T-Mobile US worker delegation to Germany and their experiences bringing their issue to the executive board and the shareholders at the annual meeting.

This picture shows CWA organizer Judy Graves leafleting at the annual meeting.

Commenting on the fact that Chief of HR Sattelberger and CEO Obermann welcomed the T-Mobile worker delegation to the Annual Meeting of Deutsche Telekom, CWA Vice President Mooney states in the article: "This just shows the respect they have for the workers and for ver.di. This kind of respect is missing in the US."

In a week filled with action, solidarity, and extreme solidarity, it´s tough to identify a "highlight", but let me try:

On Tuesday and Friday, we met with Retail, Customer Service and Field Tech members of ver.di who are working at Deutsche Telekom.  They asked and answered questions from T-Mobile USA employees.  There were many differences on issues like pay and due process, but the most recurring theme was respect.

Ver.di members encouraged T-Mobile USA workers to "keep fighting", not only for their own sake, but also to prevent DT from further attempts to take away the gains that ver.di members have made.  T-Mobile USA employees thanked ver.di members for their support and pledged to continue to make progress in building organizing committees in their workplaces.
